No, that would make little sense. Firstly, I pursue a normal profession and only make badges in my free time. Second, cast pieces that are in stock would lose their (at least initial) shine in the process. I make all the pieces accordingly if necessary. But of course, the molds are in stock, so I can usually cast within a few days.
It may be that sometimes there is little time left and I therefore need a little longer. Sometimes I don't have tin or raw material for the molds in stock and wait for a delivery myself. So if for some reason it will take longer I will inform you.
I frank with DHL Online, which is the most reliable and cheapest solution for me.
I add a flat rate for packaging (shipping boxes, airtight bags, paper and printing of labels) so that everything arrives undamaged. Also, Paypal takes a portion of your payment, which adds to my costs. Basis of the shipping costs is the price for parcel shipping with tracking from DHL. If DHL changes the price, I have to increase the shipping costs accordingly.
If you want to save shipping costs, please let me know before you order. We can then agree on uninsured shipping or find a solution for pickup / personal delivery. If the order is already booked in the system, I can not cancel the shipping costs again. Background are especially the Paypal fees. I would then have to refund you more than I have taken.
That's a thing what we can talk about. Please keep in mind, however, that as a small business owner I don't calculate big profit margins. In addition, PayPal charges me fees when I receive your payment.
If we agree on a discount, you will receive a coupon code from me, which you can then enter in the shop.
If you would like to talk to me about the price, it is best to contact me by e-mail.
Of course, something special is also possible. The question is: Can the badge you want afterwards be given away several times (e.g. a ship) and can it become part of my assortment in the future?
If so (may be available in the shop for everyone), the production costs will of course be better distributed over many badges and maybe we can get it done without charging anything for the mold.
In this case, the badge will be modeled and molded in consultation with you (usually in the form of photos by e-mail). It then becomes part of the assortment in the shop, where you can simply order it in the usual way in the desired number. The price for the badge is then again based on effort and weight.
If not (may not be available in the shop for everyone), we are talking about an exclusive tin badge for you or your group. In this case, it's best to continue reading here.
This concerns...
for example, unique pieces, symbols for closed groups or the like. Just everything that should not be freely available for everyone in the shop afterwards.
I'm very happy to do that for you.
Please understand, however, that in this case I charge something for the production of the mold, because the later number of badges will be very limited, the costs can not be allocated to many individual pieces (time expenditure, material for positive and shape).
How much does it cost?

How is my badge made?
With a lot of manual work. It usually starts with a drawing - and of course I draw in such a way that it can also be made afterwards. So if you like the drawing, we are a big step further. Then there are many more work steps, here you are welcome to look over my shoulder.
Why is there a distinction between "modeling and moulding" and "ordering casts"?
This serves a fairer, more transparent and simpler calculation. In addition, not everyone needs pewter badges It can be, for example...
How do I order a custom-made product?
If we have discussed everything and you want to go the way with me, then you can easily do it via the shop.
You need these two products. With step 1 I calculate the working time on the model and the material for the mold. With step 2 I calculate the working time during casting, the tin and other material/tool that I need for this.
No, I don't accept orders for LARP coins. But I would like to explain to you why this is the case:
1. larp coins contain many tiny details that are almost impossible to realize with my way of working - I model by hand. 3D printing is much better suited for this. However, 3D printing is a technology that I don't want to use, at least not at this stage. For me, MIBERO is about the artistic aspect, I want to design by hand. 3D printing is too technical for me. Maybe I'll look into 3D printing in the future, but even then it will only be a tool for designing individual elements that I wouldn't otherwise be able to do.
2. larp coins fulfill their purpose in the barter trade, i.e. in the uncontrolled passing on among players. After the first or, at the latest, the second exchange, nobody knows that I was the author. Of course, this makes my artistic heart bleed. But much more serious is the fact that this violates my own company values #1 and #5.
3. Larp coins are per se an item of exchange in the game. This results in the requirement that a large number of coins are needed and that each one should cost as little as possible.
You can design and produce LARP coins yourself online, they are minted by machine and all in all you can get 1,000 coins for as little as 70-80 cents each. Why so cheap? The material is less expensive than pewter and is purchased in huge quantities. The minting is done by machine and the punch delivers your coins in a rush.
I use comparatively expensive pewter, which I don't get at a preferential price as a small business owner. I cast every single piece by hand and I also have to deburr and file every single piece afterwards. I invest time that I don't have elsewhere, have energy costs for melting and wear out my tools. As you can see, the effort involved is enormous and, in contrast to machine production, the effort doesn't decrease with larger quantities but, on the contrary, increases with each coin. At the same time, it puts so much strain on me that I can hardly accept any orders during this time - and at an uneconomical hourly rate. I understand the desire for beautiful individual LARP coins only too well, but the product is simply a threat to the existence of a small business like MIBERO.
Manual work cannot be cheap, I cannot and do not want to compete with the prices of specialized medal minting companies. I have therefore decided to leave the LARP coin segment to others.
